COTUR and the Machel Fidus Association have signed a memorandum formalizing COTUR as the Association's Official Logistics Partner and defining operational and financial support for child and youth education projects in Mozambique.

On October 13, COTUR signed a memorandum of understanding with the Machel Fidus Association, formalizing a partnership focused on implementing social projects in the areas of child and youth education in Mozambique. 

The document was signed at the company's headquarters by COTUR's CEO, Muhammad Abdullah, and the President of the Machel Fidus Association, Malengane Machel.

According to the memorandum, the parties undertake to create “institutional and operational synergies that contribute to the effective implementation of social projects in the field of child and youth education in Mozambique, as well as strengthening COTUR's social commitment.”

Some of the main commitments set out in the memorandum:

  • Official Logistics PartnerCOTUR now manages all national and international travel, transportation and accommodation for Machel Fidus as part of its projects.
  • Technical and communication supportMachel Fidus has made its technical and communications team available to COTUR to support the company's social projects in the areas of children's and young people's education.
  • Dedicated financial conditionsCOTUR opens a credit account for Machel Fidus and applies special payment conditions.
  • Supported mobilityCOTUR offers 6 airline tickets free of charge for national and regional flights and grants exclusive conditions on other airline ticket purchases made by the Association.

This partnership is part of COTUR's corporate responsibility policy and reinforces the company's involvement in community impact initiatives in the areas of education and youth. 

The agreement also establishes a cooperation framework for the joint design and implementation of initiatives, including coordination between teams, resource mobilization and knowledge sharing. No financial figures or quantitative targets were disclosed at the time of signing.
